Before couple of months , I was looking for educational background in someone's profile. I found his university is  Google University.  Although, it's for just fun, but it has significance . Now-a-days people doesn't like (actually not need) to spend whole day in a library . People can bring out anything just spending few times even on the go. Thanks to Google. I am sharing few collected tips on Googling which can help you to spend little more time with your beloved one.

Fitting Web-to-lead form onto wordpress sidebar

It's now common practice as a part of marketing strategy to use web-to-lead form onto website. Web-to-lead form is mainly used for capturing people information who has intention to get related service/product . Web-to-lead form are designed to automate of importing visitor information from the website to CRM as lead. Before couple of days I came across the fitting this web-to-lead form onto wordpress site's sidebar.After creating Web-to-lead form using Zoho CRM when I put the created code on the sidebar with text widget , it was just showing as picture give below-

How's looking? Yeah, it's not suitably fitted within the sidebar , I have indicated it with arrow sign. So what would be the solution to fitting it within the sidebar properly? 

Option 1: Increasing the width of Wordpress theme sidebar: 

Increasing the width of sidebar wouldn't be wise to fit it properly unless you need to increase the width of sidebar for theme design issue. For this you must have to understand of wordpress theme structure , CSS etc. I can say it's not the job of non-technical user. So for non-technical person should go for option 2.

Option 2: Reducing the width of Web-to-lead form :

Generated Web-to-lead form contains HTML/javascript code with div and tabular structure. If you looked for size attribute in the code to change, you will get. But reducing those size won't fit it properly unless you will not reduced the size of form field size. Unfortunately field size is not mentioned in the code. It uses default value. So just add the size attribute with giving a value less than 20 as the default value of text field is 20 and see how's look. Appearing somehow changed? That's great. Then set the value properly .Add the size attribute as following :

Freelancing tips: Writing

Writing is the very widely used working place in the freelancing area. There are many types of writing such as article , blog , email, product description etc. In fact, writing has involvement  in somehow to all sort of works. In this blog post , I will try to share few tips or process to increase quality of writing.

1. Say No to Plagiarism:

  What is Plagiarism ? Quoted from Wikipedia - (For your kind information- copy from wikipedia is not considered as plagiarism as I am providing the source)

Plagiarism is the "wrongful appropriation" and "purloining and publication" of another author's "language, thoughts, ideas, or expressions," and the representation of them as one's own original work.

 

Plagiarism is strictly prohibited. It can ruin your writing/working reputation which is very important for freelancing career.  As we can find out any resource from the Internet easily , the tendency of plagiarism increasing day by day intentionally or non-intentionally . Although, it may require to take help as the part of research from any existing resource, final deliverable writing should be plagiarism free.  So, let's see how can make plagiarism free writing. Oh, before that let's see why plagiarism is not acceptable . 

• There are many reasons but main thing is that search engine doesn't like plagiarism even sometimes it can penalty the site.  Maximum freelance writing turn into the content for web. So it can't be accepted which is not accepted by Search Engine specially when it is related to earning. 

So , now let's see how can we make plagiarism free writing. 

• Writing from own head:    Original writing ! comes from own head- writing subject, topics , ,idea can be repetitive, but at least representation format will be unique. 
•  Never copy pest:  
  
    As I said before, everything is available over internet . Avoid direct copy paste method to make any write -up. Copy-rewriting sometimes acceptable. 
• Check plagiarism: After completing the write-up it's wise to check the existence of plagiarism . There are many online plagiarism checker available. 

2.  Avoid Spelling and Grammatical error:

     It's very important for quality writing and maintaining accuracy little challenging for novice writer. In that case, I would like to say, use software or tools. There are many online tools which can check spelling and grammatical mistakes.

Q: How to write a good cover letter or proposal letter?

A: Writing a good cover or proposal letter is very important to get a job because 'A good beginning is half done'. A client first see the cover letter then see the profile. So it's very important to convince the Client at the beginning with an attractive  different cover letter. I have mentioned some important points below-which will definitely increase the probability  to get a job if followed .

• Don't forget to read the job description A-to-Z .
• Introduce yourself just with one sentence.
• Write down-what you have understood and how you will do the job -according to job descriptions.
• Write down your prior relevant experience shortly if you have.
• Mentioned your price and time frame  for the job.
• Let the client know that you are waiting for his response/interview.

Q: How can I pass oDesk skill test?

A: oDesk skill test is one of the best way to show your skill on specific category to potential clients. It's not difficult anything to be worried but an exam. You make prepare yourself first according to syllabus then appear for test. Try to answer every questions in time , there is no negative marking for wrong answers. If you search for skill test answers over the webs , you will get the answers but it's not recommended. At least, without following that answer blindly try to find solution yourself .It will increase your confident. All the best.

Customizing the favicon of blogger site.

Recently I have set up my blogger site though it is not yet completed. Actually it is a continuous process as we will get more useful gadget day by day and we will deploy them on the blogger site.  When I was trying to customize the favicon for my this site using favicon gadget , I had to face horrible trouble. Let me talk in more details .

First I have created a favicon using favicon.cc  and download it.

First Freelancing work

Everything which is happening has a 'Starting Point', and Starting is always charming when the matter is not easy to get started. For the freelancer, it is a very exciting moment to get the opportunity for the first time, because it is a challenge when you have no any five star or good feedback  from the prior work experience. And most clients don't want to spend their time to train up someone who has no relevant previous working experience.
