Integrating Twitter Lead Generation Card with Aweber

Twitter ads is playing vital role to online marketer. In this post , we will see how we can integrate Twitter Lead generation Card with Aweber, so that the twitter user can turn into subscriber with single click ,no need to type name or email separately.  Lets quick jump to action.


  •  Login Twitter ads 
  • Find the cards and create new one or edit existing one


  • Fill up the card contents with required description , images , call-to-action 
  • Can be set up destination URL where user will be redirected once submitted the card.

Integration : Data settings (Optional)

 This is the area that will be used for integration of Aweber or any other email marketing tools or CRM. Need to create first a simple sign up form under Aweber list and select raw HTML for simplicity.  I have attached here 2 infographics that present field mapping to get things done. Color indicating the code/values that need to put in Twitter data setting fields. 







Don't forget to save the settings. Twitter will send the Twitter handle info of the account holder for testing purpose and check back the subscription process on Aweber. Got it?

Exporting Leads or Contacts who has no NOTE in Zoho CRM

As a part of sales process common and effective practice is adding note for particular lead or contact or account.


Normally we can create custom views with specifying criteria , but if we look at all available criteria option, we won't find any that speaks abut 'Note'.


So,It's not possible to make segmented list for those who don't have note inside the Leads, Contacts or others modules. For more clarification , Note is another module in Zoho CRM (Did you know that?) and currently Zoho doesn't support relational custom view inside certain module.

In this situation what we have to do is creating report. Report allows us to select related module and can be specified criteria afterward.
And specify criteria as Note Content is Empty. 


Now ready to export that report in Excel , CSV or PDF whatever you want.

Couple of things You may want to do using Aweber , but can't.



Aweber is most trusted email marketing tools out there. It never compromise with anti-spam policy. As a result , it has great deliverability , great open and click rate. Sometimes I'm asked by my client which one I recommend - I don't take much time to say Aweber, I just add one sentence that is' if you want to do quality email marketing' :)

I have listed some things you want to do using Aweber, but no luck as Aweber doesn't support these.  

Importing scraped subscribers to the list without their confirmation:

You may want to start using Aweber with your existing email listing that are scrapped through web search or purchased. So you need to import them on Aweber list to send out them regular broadcast or promotional email. But unfortunately , Aweber doesn't allow them to be listed directly- Aweber will send them confirmation email first , People who will confirm , will be added afterwards.

In another hand, If you have existing subscribers that are already opted-in using another email marketing tools and you have evidence then this step can be skipped with the concern of Aweber support.

Sending Broadcast or Follow up messages to 'Confirmation pending' people: 

For double opt-in subscription method , there might have some subscribers whose status is 'Confirmation Pending'. You can't send them your Broadcast email or follow up messages unless they confirmed. 

Resend confirmation message :

And it's not possible them to send confirmation email again that already sent. I can suggest you to send a regular email(as you have email id)  so that they response to the confirmation email and don't forget to say them to not forget to check spam folder also, if not in inbox!


Sending video through the email :

Aweber doesn't have feature to place a video in the Email. It will be needed text or image to be linked with the video hosted in Youtube or so. 


Tell a Friend :

Sometimes you may noticed to have an option for forwarding email to a friend. 

In Aweber , you can not do this, as your friend didn't opted-in to get the offer you sent. Aweber recommended to send opt-in form page link instead.

How to add Google Plus , LinkedIn Follow Me button on Aweber Email Template?

We are strongly familiar with social media button as we see them everywhere all over the internet.  We are going to discuss adding social media follow button on email message send with Aweber . If we look Aweber drag and drop email template builder  we can see there is a 'Follow Me' block to place on the message's drop zone. But this Follow Me block allows to integrate  only Facebook and Twitter account.

Seems to be that you are little disappointed as Google Plus and LinkedIn are not over there but they are very important for you or your business. In this situation we can play a tricks to place social icons on the message like as below picture-
Looks good? Okay, Follow the following steps- 

  • Slicing vertically : I guess , you are familiar with 'Drop Zone' of Aweber's drag and drop template builder- Select/create a separate drop zone and slice vertically as required. 
  • Adding Text and icons: Now use 'Paragraph' block first to add text 'Follow Me' or as you want to write. Then use 'Image' block and upload icons for social media to be added on next slice one by one. Don't forget to set the respective social media account link for each icon.
  •  Adjustment: Adjust the icon size and slice size for better look and feel.

Facebook App settings for Viral Quiz Builder WP Plugin

Viral Quiz Builder is one of the most popular Wordpress plugin for high conversion rate or to generate leads for your products or service in an intellectual way. This plugin is used to create a quiz and prior to providing the quiz result it allows to place a Opt-in gate integrating with  Autoresponder system. It comes with video tutorial- Thanks guys.

This plugin has integrated social sharing option that can boost up web traffic which is very important for online marketing.

To integrate with Facebook we have to create an App first to get the App ID - it's very simple if we can look their video tutorial- we can see this by clicking on '?' mark besides Facebook Settings. The fact is, Facebook has changed their interface/style to create an app and publish. So this video may confuse you- in that situation this post can be a such relief for you.

Go to-  https://developers.facebook.com/apps

 Click on  Create a New App

A pop up window will appear- fill up the form . Give a name for the app, select category .

You will be asked to fill up the Captcha ( What is captcha? " Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart"  did you know that? ) .

Following Dashboard will be appeared-




Keep in mind that , We do have now a App ID.

Click on Settings from the left side menu- fill up the App Domains (just domain like as mysite.com ) and Contact Email. For each domain only one app is allowed.

Click on +Add platform >Website > put the website URL (it w'd be full URL like as http://mysite.com)

Don't forget to click on Save changes.

Required app is created - need to make it public. So now go to Status & Review menu and make it public by clicking on 'Yes' .

Facebook part is complete - now just copy the App ID for this app and paste to Facebook settings option under global settings of Viral Quiz Builder and Save it .That's all.

Integrating Zoho web-to-lead form with OptimizePress landing page

If you are using OptimizePress for your landing or sales page probably you know it's friendly to integrate with email marketing tools like as Mailchimp, Aweber etc, just need to paste the autoresponder code along with associated setting. If you would like to collect LEAD from your OptimizePress landing page to be stored in Zoho CRM need to paste the code generated from Zoho as custom form opt-in. Difference between Zoho Campaign module and Zoho Campaign Application

It is always little bit confusing for the beginner of Zoho CRM as the Zoho named a module inside the CRM and another stand alone application is same - Campaigns. But obviously there are few difference , let see what are they.

What’s the difference between Campaigns and Campaigns?

The Campaigns Module in Zoho CRM

What it is: The Zoho CRM Campaigns Module is a top-level ”holding” record to help you manage and
analyze marketing campaigns. The CRM Campaigns module tracks details about email marketing, trade
shows, direct mail, events, surveys – or any type of marketing campaign you want to analyze.
A CRM Campaign module record enables you to:
• Aggregate Leads and Contacts associated with a campaign -
o In the Campaign record: view the Contacts or Leads associated with a campaign.
o In a Contact or Lead record: view the Campaigns associated with the Contact or Lead
o Provide visibility into marketing activities for all authorized CRM users
• Record Campaign details to analyze results and determine ROI. Those details may include -
o Start Date and End Date
o Campaign Type
o Costs: Budget and Actual
o Expected vs. actual number of impressions (attendees, signups, etc.)
o Expected Revenue
o Notes, Activities, and other related entities
o Any other details that matter by creating custom fields and sections.

What it is not: CRM Campaigns module records are not used to perform any email marketing functions.
Although you can send mass emails from Zoho CRM, the number that can be sent daily is limited and
there is no ability to track or report on results. That’s where the Campaign app comes in.

The Campaigns App

What it is: The Campaigns app is the tool that allows you to create templates, add email content, build
subscriber mailing lists, and run reports for emails campaigns. It’s where you can create and send followup
emails, where you can perform A/B testing to validate tactics before mailing an entire list. It’s the
tool you’ll use to create a series of touches to build relationships and send relevant offers.
